Delphi Academy Preschool Program Overview
Where learning and fun meet in a safe and challenging environment.

More than just a place to play Your child will learn skills that will help make the transition into his beginning school years easy and enjoyable.

Academics An individualized program will be created for your child based on his current abilities and skills. Children learn their beginning basics in letter recognition, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. Your child will also be taught how to hold a pencil correctly and trace letters and shapes and how to write his full name.

Reading After extensive research into reading methods, a clear and very simple road to excellent reading skills was mapped. The children are introduced to the basics of reading at this stage of the program.

Physical and manual skills These areas are addressed with a number of fun activities such as arts and crafts, gymnastics, horizontal ladder, playing musical instruments, ball, rope and hoop skills, and much more.

Social skills As this is the first group experience for many of the children of this age, our experienced year-round faculty are skilled in helping your child adjust to working and playing together with other children. Through various social games, your child will learn skills in a relaxed environment in a small group setting.

Field Trips The emphasis of our program is placed on practical activities and special projects, which include field trips. We encourage our students to make the connection between academic subjects and the real-life application. Preschoolers participate in field trips at least twice a year to the zoo and a pumpkin farm. In addition, we have several "in-house" field trips where professionals come to us.
