Char Miller is our Director. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computational
Mathematics. After working in the business world for many years as a computer programmer
and manager, Char opened a school in the Chicago area using the Delphi curriculum.
Originally known as Chicagoland Academy, in 2005 the school officially joined the
Delphi Schools Network as Delphi Academy of Chicago.
"I love having a school with the full Delphi Program because the students really
learn what they are studying and can apply it. I especially like the fact that students
are placed by ability because every child's growth is different. An advanced student
is not held back because of sub-standard rules. Our school truly gives parents an
alternative to other schools and insures their child is receiving an exceptional
education."
Char lives in Addison with her husband and three children.

Debbie Voss is our Dean.
"What I like about Delphi is that each student is instructed as an individual. The
student’s curriculum is basically designed to meet each incoming student’s needs.
Therefore, if a student excels in one area, is at grade level in another and requires
a booster in a third – the student’s educational program is designed to meet those
needs. In this environment I don’t ever wonder if a student can apply what he has
learned – I know that application of the material is each instructor’s expectation.
The other area that makes Delphi stand apart is our teaching staff. It is a very
open environment in which the parents are actively involved in their child’s education.
It’s that team effort that makes it strong. From a parental point of view, I am
very pleased with my children’s education. I know they are developing the skills
they will need to excel in high school and beyond – a love of learning!"

Ali Blane is the Director of Admissions.
"I love working at Delphi Academy! It is a wonderful learning environment where
students are actively learning and growing in all areas of their lives. What I like
best about the Delphi program is how each child is placed individually according
to their ability. This way they are able to learn at an appropriate pace for them
and can constantly be challenged by and excited about what they are learning!"

Jamie Lemes is the Assistant Dean.
"I have enjoyed working at Delphi as a Teacher for several years, teaching both
the older students and the younger. I am amazed at how much everyone works together
here to help the child in all areas of their lives, not just the academics."

Gina Davidson is our Tots 1 teacher.
"I love working at Delphi. The children are so eager to leran. Every day is a new
adventure. I have seen such improvement with my youngest daughter's reading in such
a short time. She is proof that the Delphi system works!"
Gina lives in Bolingbrook with her husband and three children.

with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Yasmen taught school in Pakistan and went on to
teach preschool in the Chicago public school system.
"The teaching methods at Delphi are very good. Parents and teachers work together
with the intention of educating the child. The atmosphere of everyone working together,
teacher + parent + student equals success."

Ann Hootman is a Beginner 1 Teacher (Kindergarten).
"I have been teaching the Beginner One class for 6 years. Being able to teach children
how to read has been a very rewarding experience for me. The atmosphere here at
Delphi is caring and warm. You could not find a more wonderful first learning experience
for your child."

Kim Regalado is a Beginner 2 Teacher (1st grade).
"School Days at Delphi are amazing to experience. The individual attention that
each student receives is just what our struggling educational systems need. This
style of learning should be gifted to ALL children. "

Karen Kuesper is the Form 1 Teacher (2nd grade).
"Delphi Academy is a positive learning environment for students and is for anyone
who wants their child to be handled as an individual. The small class sizes really
help their teachers to recognize their students' strengths and the areas where they
need help. This enables teachers to challenge their students on a daily basis. Delphi
Academy is a great school that completely focuses on the student."
|
|
LaShawna Netsingha is a Form 2 Teacher (3rd Grade).
"What impresses me most at the school is that the children are not limited by their
age. If a child is ready for their next academic step, no boundaries prevent me
from teaching it! This keeps student interest high and allows them to grow at their
own pace. Delphi really understands the individual!"
|
|
Allison Floyd is the Form 3 teacher (4-5th grades).
"The curriculum here allows me to enrich each one of my students with a true love
of each subject."
|
|
Michelle Froysland is the Forms 4-6 Teacher (6-8th grades).
"I have many years of teaching experience and yet I am thrilled with the way the
students are taught here. They are being helped by teaching them how to be independent
learners. When they know how to learn on their own, they can tackle any subject."
